Singapore: Singapore Straits Times Index bounced back after taking strong support of 3180 trade positive.

Singapore shares opened lower but turn positive with the Straits Times Index rising 3.6 points, or 0.10 per cent to 3,191.1 as at 11:30 AM.

Advance to Decline ratio stood at 132 to 101 with 615 remained unchanged.

The most actively traded counters were Thomson Medical, which was up 0.6 cent, or at $0.081 followed by Rex Intl $0.096 up 0.003.

Among top gainers Jardine C&C rose +0.650, Venture at 16.470 up 0.530, JMH USD 66.100 up 0.490. While Losers included Dairy Farm USD, Delong, Shangri-la HKD.

Stocks in focus in today’s trade

OUE Lippo Healthcare (OUELH):
OUELH announced that it received from the, demanding payment for about $3.4 million in total for alleged loans owed former CEO and major shareholder Fan How Kin.

Cromwell E-Reit: Units of the Reit lost some 5 per cent on Tuesday after a nearly 10 per cent stake in the Reit changed hands in the morning, with wealthy couple Gordon and Celine Tang getting a bite of it. Cerberus Singapore Investor, one of the Reit’s five largest unitholders, sold its entire 9.98 per cent stake in the Reit for 99.08 million euros (S$153 million) on Tuesday.

Thomson Medical Group (TMG): TMG’s owned subsidiary RSP holding looking for approval of shareholders to accept the pre-conditional voluntary general offer for all of the shares of RSP Holdings.

World Market

US market was mixed on Tuesday, with Alphabet, Facebook and other technology-related shares dipping, while a rebound in 3M and other industrials elevated the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

The U.S. announced criminal charges against China’s Huawei Technologies, escalating a fight with the world’s biggest telecommunications equipment maker, which can raise concerns with US China trade talks.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.21 percent to end at 24,579.96 points, while the S&P 500 lost 0.15 percent to 2,640, dragged down by technology and communications stocks. The Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.81 percent to 7,028.29.

Oil prices trading lower with concern for the global economy but supported by worries over disruptions to supply from US sanctions on Venezuelan exports.

Gold Price: Yesterday Gold spot trade rose to $1311.78 .Today in early trade it was trading at $1312 up $3.
