Singapore: Singapore stocks open positive but STI index erases its gains to trade flat.
Singapore stocks opened with gains, the Straits Times Index up 3.98 points in early trade later turn negative with 5 points down at 3222 at 11:35 AM.
Gainers dwarfed failures 108 to 101, after about 294.9 M shares change hands with value of 338.9M.
The most effectively exchanged stock was Rex international, which rose 0.1 pennies to 0.077, QT vascular up 0.002 at 0.009.
Other most traded stocks included Genting Singapore, which up 0.93 per cent, or one cent to $1.09, and Singtel which traded at $3.06, with about 2.1 million shares traded.

First Reit: Trust’s fourth-quarter distribution per unit (DPU) remains flat at 2.15 cents for the three months ended Dec 31, 2018, unchanged from a year ago which will be payable on Feb 28, 2019.Share of closed at 1.03 yesterday.

The US indexes ended the day in positive territory but well off their highs of the session. The Dow climbed 141.57 points or 0.6 percent to 24,207.16, the Nasdaq rose 10.86 points or 0.2 percent to 7,034.69 and the S&P 500 edged up 5.80 points or 0.2 percent to 2,616.10.
Wall Street strength continued after upbeat earnings from Bank of America and Goldman. Shares of Bank of America moved sharply higher trading after good results as above estimate.
