Advance decline ratio still remains in favour of gainers 160 to 117 after about 723.0M shares traded. While turnover remains $451.9 million

The most effectively trade share was Ezion, ThaiBev, RexIntl.

Other index heavy weights active stocks included DBS up 0.07, UOB up 0.09 and SingTel up 0.02.

Duty Free International: Malaysian multi-channel duty free and duty paid retail group Duty Free International posted a net profit of RM15.2 million (S$5 million) for its third quarter ended Nov 30, 2018, up from foreign exchange gains.

World Market

US market rallied for a fourth session on Wednesday, contribution by Apple, chipmakers and other trade-sensitive stocks after signs of progress in trade talks between the United States and China.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.39 percent to finish at 23,879.12 points, while the S&P 500 gained 0.41 percent to 2,584.96. The Nasdaq Composite added 0.87 percent to 6,957.08.The S&P technology index rose 1.50 percent, with Apple Inc up 1.70 percent.

Volume on US exchanges was 8.0 billion shares, compared with the 9.0 billion-share average over the last 20 trading days.
